Not saying that Melissa shouldn't have won, cause she totally deserves it. I mean she is a fantastic singer, song-writer and performer.. but I do think that Shawn should have won also.. I don't know, both of them were sooooo great! And don't get me wrong GABE has talent too.. but Shawn and Melissa were the best in my opinion. I love all three of them. And I can bet you ten to one you have not heard the last of SHAWN! She is soooo talented! And I do think the right person won.. but I cried my eyes out when Shawn was eliminated. But, man, that was one heck of a song... What if it all goes right!? That was one of the best songs an unsigned artist has had. (Well now she is!) And congratulations to M. But I think Shawn had more charisma... But Melissa is great. And I know Shawn is not through.

I'm not dishing out on melissa Her and Gabe were the right two finishers but, Gabe should have won! He is true Country. And you can mark my words you will see who becomes the real star when all said and done. I think Gabe will blow her out of the water. There are plenty of good singers out there But, I always felt Gabe was the true country singer. Reminded me of George Strait. I hope they both do good but my money is on Gabe. Can't wait to here his first CD when it comes out. Good luck to both of you

Great job Melissa. You done a wonderful job. I was extremely happy when you won. Although some of the others were good, I think you were definitely the best. I wish you and your family the very best of luck and I am sure I will be seeing a lot of you in the future. You are wonderful and no one deserved it more.

Speaking of judges!!! Did anyone listen to the judges performances last week. Come on. Either something was wrong with my television or Jewel totally blew that one. If she sounds like that in person, I'm glad I didn't pay to attend one of her concerts. And she has a right to judge. Not based on that performance!

What happened to the other winners?? Other than Buddy Jewel, we have never heard from the others:
Erico Jo; Brad Cotter; Angela Hacker; Chris Young.

competition with the same host and judges..Im glad I dont have to see them anymore.

This show has some of the best talent on t.v and out there in the world. It is really sad that the judges they picked for this show are 3 one hit wonder, no name, no talent morons. Jewel, since when did she become a country singer and start using the word y'all?? She grew up in alaska in a box!?! Billy Ray Cyrus...come on. Achy Breaky Heart is 20 years old, what an insult to national television. The 2 finalists have more talent individually than all 4 of them combined. This show is wonderful and should be judged by someone like George Jones, George Straight, Reba MacIntyre. Someone, anyone with an ounce of talent. Melissa deserves to win but I would be happy to see Gabe win as well!

Country music doesn't need skin and sex to sell! If it is this un-family friendly next year, I won't be watching!

Melissa has a God given gift, as John said, and she is using it. I have been blessed to hear her sing at our church for several years. Can't wait to buy her next CD.
