Hey guys!
How touching and amazing was it to see this week's family-themed episode? I swear, I cried about...how many contestants are there...yeah, nine times. I think the contentants really pushed through this week with their families in the audience to support them. Pearl Heart looked amazing and were dead on with their harmonies and Tommy really rocked out to Tiny Dancer!
My personal favorite performance of the night was Coffey singing "Hey, Good Lookin'" which I can remember running around the backyard singing as a child. The show was full of so many wonderful surprises yet it still had to come that time when someone went home. This week our beautiful red-headed songstress Miss Alyson Gilbert's Nashville Star journey came to an end. As sad as it is to see someone go each week, it's also pretty exciting to know that we are one step closer to the next Nashville Star!
Also, how much did you just love Blake Shelton's performance of his smash hit "Home"? I just love 'ol Blakey and thought that his performance was fantastic. Before the show he was hanging out with the contestants in the green room and I just wanted to scream I was so excited to see him! I can't wait to find out what surprises are in store for next week. You've spoken and we'll see what you decided next week. Remember, you vote America. The fate of the next Nashville Star is in your hands!

Nashville Star on NBC
Having watched Nashville Star since it came on TV this easily the worst year they have had. There are maybe two people on this years show that could have competed with those from the past shows.
They need to go back to the format the show had while it was on cable. Some of these folks are a joke and play country music, this isn't American Idol.
Don't know what "America" is thinking
Okay, tonight was by far the most retarded bit of crap I have seen thus far. Aside from Coffey actually getting a decent review (GO COFFEY!) is the fact that the spoiled brat duo of Laura and Sophie made it thru and the group with the actual talent Pearl Heart got sent home! Should Laura and Sophie make it anywhere right now, they would be eaten alive by the industry! I don't think their harmonies even blend that well! If they don't get voted off after that mediocre performance and crybaby boo-hooing crap they did this week, we seriously need to reevaluate our definition of talent on these shows! Melissa, Coffey, and Gabe are by far the top 3 in my eyes, but everyone on there EXCEPT L&S could actually MAKE it RIGHT NOW. I don't think L&S are near ready...I don't think they could handle each other on the road!
American Idol 2
I am at a loss of words to describe my confusion with the song choices and singers claiming to country music stars. There are only two standout contestants who present country music on each show, Gabe and Melissa. What is up with Proud Mary? How could anyone consider that song in a country competition. Tonight one of the hopefuls were voted off and Nashiville Rock seems to be dominating a Country music talent show. What am I missing?

should be the name of the show this season. Ok I got to help with the casting call for nashville star on Nashville and there were alot of great country singers..What the hell did they do with them? They are certainly not on this show. John Rich stated off alright as a judge but the power is getting to his head. But then again when you are building a house called Villa Rich that will towers over the rest of the neighborhood you don't have to ask how obnoxious this man boy is. Telling contestants they are not country and putting on a cowboy hat doesn't make you country is rude, the pot callling the kettle black. To me the show was filled with crew who were full of themselves and always telling people what to do. Even when it came to seating people who came as seat fillers they made sure to put the pretty people in the front and the not so in the back of course they were being directed where to put people!
Judging
I am so disappointed with this season's Nashville Star. Maybe NBC has ruined this show, maybe the judges have ruined this show. I don't know. But I do know if I hear "that's not country" one more time I'm going to scream. I don't think there's truly a definition of country anymore, & I don't think the judges are the experts on what is and isn't country! There use to be, but not since Shania has country been country.
Judges, get over yourselves!!
One more week and then I'm done. If any of the judges day "that's not country", I won't watch the show.
Since when are the judges so keen that the voices are "pitchy". What the heck is that? Since when are you so tuned in you can hear pitchy? That's the only thing you can criticize? Gimme a break!! Really, gimme a break!!
Miranda Lambert was voted off Nashville Star, and look where she is. Maybe getting voted off is not such a bad thing!
It's a shame this show has taken such a turn as I've truely enjoyed the contestants and watching the improvements and progress they make.

Coffey is doing an amazing job and rich is a hyprocrit for trying to tell him hes not country i know where bangs texas is and if it aint country i dont know what is??? and john rich say's hes singing and bling blinging in his song save a horse is bling blinging country?????? and JEWel just "went" country and obvioulsy country is what coffey loves to do so dont put him down hes great and country music needs a new face it isnt only white conservative americans that listen to country music and supports country singers so coffey has as much as a chance as any one else has at winning the show! Rich needs a wake up call im sure cowboy troy rich's own "black rapping cowboy is saying the same about rich" and his ignorant comments keep doing amazing coffey u have support and people that ur country the judges are mad cause ur outdoing the competition! keep entertaining the people coffey thats what america loves more than a damn country accent! COFFEY ALL THE WAY!!!!
