Did anyone notice the sound on this weeks show was horrible?! I have the 2 shows Tivoed. Just go back and compare how the sound was mixed at the original pre-recorded first show to the one this week. It was so thin. There wasnt any fullness. Im no expert, but I could tell. For example- if you listen to Third Town's opening pre-recorded intro where they are rehearsing and auditioning for the judges you can hear the amazing sound of the harmony on the song Mountain Music. If you go to their Youtube videos, you can hear the blend with no manipulation, no mixing and even no microphones. I watched their performance a few times and realized you cant even hear one of the guy's voices-as if the mic was off or very low. That is unfortunate, as a trio only sounds complete if you can hear all the voices. Intentional? Maybe. You never know how a show is manipulated..? It's too bad they didnt let Third Town go without a true representation of their incredible blend. That is just an opinion. If any anyone cares to hear their real sound, check out their videos. What a difference! Amazing! In the mean time- Nashville Star needs to hire a better sound engineer!

Melissa has a truly Awesome voice that comes directly from the heart. I know that God gives us all special gifts but he sure gave Melissa a whopper.
All of in Texas and Wisconsin and PBC are so glad that she is being given the chance to touch people's hearts in such a big way.

BOO on john rich & jewel. I still think Third Town is the best!! The first time they taped the show they had been up over 50 hours...they still rocked! Their future is brighter than Nashville Star...other doors will open. As for the rest of the group...theres only 2 other acts that deserve that a future in country music.

Melissa nad Gabe are the best 2 but what happened to the rest of the contestants???? Shawn should've never tried to do He Stopped Loving Her Today...what was she thinking....there are just some songs that can never be redone and be better than the original.

What is wrong with the judges this year? Haven't they learned that you can improve someone's performance without being just downright hateful?? I'm very disappointed in them all! Their nasty comments make the show not very fun to watch anymore.

Melissa obviously has the pipes and the sincerity to got with it to win this whole thing! There are some decent vocalists to compete with, but she is what country music is all about!! Go girl! You are awesome!!

Gabe you are freakin awesome. I hope that you win...and I hope everyone knows what real singing is...and it's you. I know you are more open then what you appear on stage...but keep up the good work and let the entire nation know who you are like we do here in Texas!!!!

Also wouldn't mind the rest of the nation know what true texas country singing and playing is compared with nashville. Don't forget your roots!

Think Melissa did an AWESOME job. not sure where some of these other people came from but am wondering if they know the meaning of actually singing.
