This is a very tough decision. The best two performers on this year is Melissa and Gabe. Shawn is good but, she's not like the others. Gabe has that soft quiet side to him. He reminds me a lot of Mark Chestnut. Melissa on the other hand is out there. She is very out-spoken, knows what she wants, and a take charge kinda girl. It's the final episode tonight and I hope last week was enough to put Melissa or Gabe in the spotlight forever.

Ashlee, Pearl Heart and Coffey are better than her.

We need to rise up and show the NS producers that we are not stupid, we are not fooled by their ignorant politics and we should sign a petition to get Ashlee on that tour!

And I have to say...whiteboy has it right, in todays world we are led to believe that it's cool to be black and if you don't think so then you must be a raciest. Where i work and i can't say where that is, you have to take a test to be considered for employement. 99.9% of the blacks can't score above a 60 and yet the same number of white range in the 80's and 90's Guess who gets the job? the government makes my employer hire the poor dumb nigger who then comes to work half drunk, causes problems at work, doesn't really do any work and when they do you have to go redo it cause it's soo sloppy. My employer has told me that they have to hire 5 niggers to do what one white person can do. what the hell? just cause they are black they get speacial treatment. Dang what is your problem with working moms? This is not the June Cleaver days! Melissa can take her boys on the road with her and home school. Sara Evans is a prime example, as well as Martina McBride, Leann Womack and even Josh Turner. Josh Turner has his mother and mother-in-law traveling with him and his wife on their bus as their son's nannies.

I think Shawn should be the big winner. She is very passionate and loves entertaining. She has no baggage and can be free to travel and do lots of appearances. Her voice is unique and you can recognize that it is Shawn singing. All the others do not have a distinct voice that you would know who they are on the radio. Melissa has a good voice, but she has 5 kids. She needs to be at home with them. These are the ages kids need a mother and a father.

I've watched Nashville Star since it first started several years ago. The actual show was great, however it did need to be on primetime tv. Finally, it went to primetime but they re-formatted the show...why fix it if it wasn't broken?? The sound quality really sucks...as was evident during the performances of the judges and guest singers this year. Billy Ray has got to go...he has the personality of a dial tone....flat, no excitement, forgets his lines, looks terrible...thank God for dvr...I just fast forward him when he's on...he's worthless. The contestants have come far since the beginning of this season...although I wondered how they were chosen out of thousands to be the best of the best...but maybe they sound so bad due to the accoustics of the stage, that's what I'm thinking....I can't believe that Ashley is gone...she's the next Taylor Swift and far more talented that Coffey!! I have nothing against a black man wanting to sing country...one of my favorites is Cowboy Troy, he can sing, entertain and was one of the best hosts of Nashville Star...BRING HIM BACK!!! I'm sorry, but Coffey's voice just quivers everytime he sings...give it up, he needs to go!
I love Shawn, Melissa and Gabe, but my overall favorite was Ashley...I'm sure we'll be hearing songs from her soon...she'll make it big time. I don't have a problem with who wins, except if Coffey wins...he truly is the weakest link!
Jewel did sound bad tonight and frankly, I never liked her singing or when she hosted Nashville Star before...however, I will admit that her newest cd is GREAT! I love it and I've gained a new respect for her as a judge this season. Again, I feel that her singing was bad only due to the sound stage....PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS AND FIX IT...don't change the way Nashville Star was in prior years...we've finally got prime time, but unfortunately I think we've lost ground with Billy hosting and the sound quality of the show. I'll be sad if Nashville Star doesn't get renewed next season...but I wouldn't be surprised due to lack of ratings.....

Jewel's performance was an awful, warbling, mumbling, off key vibrato on Monday's show. Here is video of another performance of her yodeling so badly that I wonder how she can criticize the contestants.

Can't believe that Ashley is gone and Coffee is still on the show. Please tell me what makes him country. Reading all these comments, no one likes him so how does he continue to make it each week.

I am so glad that i have seen the judges perform live before because last night it sounded horrible, and they are all GREAT singers!!!!!! I am happy for the contestants left, their original songs were great, I would enjoy listening to them on the radio.. Coffeys song reminded me of somthing John Rich would sing with Big&Rich.. Melissa's song hit home with any wife and mother that wishes to chase dreams,Gabe's well if your married you would relate, and if you have ever walked away from anything you loved you would know that Shawns song kicked ass!!!

Every "reality" talent show towards the end includes a black (man or woman), a woman, a man.
That being said, what in God's name is Coffey still doing on this show? He isn't country! Shawn is seductive, but shouldn't be there at this point. Ashley is much better than Shawn, but the "voters" sent her home.

Ok...So Coffey made it again...I have heard from a very very reliable source that Coffey's dad was bragging to the other contestants and their families that he has paid a guy to add thousands of votes at once for Coffey. I am not exactly sure how it would work but am really beginning to believe this since he continously moves forward in this competition, and from what I am reading nobody really seems to have any faith in him. I hope the big whigs at NBC would be able to notice something like this that could be taking place and have him eliminated from the competition. I also heard he is quite the back stabber to some of the other contestants.

I've been watching every year and picked the winner every time. MELISSA is gonna be the winner this year wait and see......

Melissa was awesome tonight. Her voice is so rich and pure. I think that SHE SHOULD be the next NASHVILLE STAR. Gabe and Shawn are okay but Melissa has the voice that will carry her to stardom. I am so dissapointed to see Coffey made it to another week. He is so not country. Also, what is up with Billy Ray and the overly dramatic pauses and incessant repitition. I have been watching this show for last few seasons and am very dissapointed that they seem to be trying to make Nashville Star more like American Idol since it got moved to the new station. There is a reason I am watching Nashville Star and it is not for manufactured drama or "artists" like Coffey. Give us our Nashville Star back, stop messing with a good thing.
