Shawn Mayer had about 6000 people at her hown town concert according to the state patrol that was there helping out. That is awsome for a town of 45. So don't put her down or rule her out. She is a fantastic singer. A Minnesota fan that drove to the show Wednesday night.

I forgot to add the song by Bare Naked Ladies that Coffey ripped off, it's their 1998 hit song "ONE WEEK". The only difference between the two songs is coffey slowed his down in tempo, but it's the same beat and notes and rythym. HE"S A FREAKIN" RIP-OFF AND HE CAN"T EVEN DO ANYTHING ORIGINAL! The Executive Producer of Nashville Star said he had a choice to go to either of the contestants Concert's but he chose Gabe Garcia in Lytle, Texas.
Their was an estimated crowd of over 3,000 Gabe Fan's.
The Parade was awesome. The Autograph signing was great. But the Concert kicked A**. I have been to many Country, Rock and Rap Concert's and I have never felt the energy of a crowd as I felt it on Wednesday night. From start to Finish Gabe was electrifying. I put off writing this because I thought perhaps Jewel would realize what she said and apolgize, but since that did not happen I felt the need to write.I was very offended when Jewel made the comment to Sophie that perhaps she was having a seizure when she rolled her eyes.My son had his first seizure when he was 24 years old,he is now 32 and continues to have seizures every day.He can't drive,forget employment and we won't even go into the cost of anti-seizure medications.No one knows why epilpsey came but feel sure it will never leave.Since John thought Jewel deserved an apology,I think all the men,women and children and their families deserve an apology because unless you have lived it you can not realize how seizers can devestate lifes. I don't know if this will be read,but I had to write it and when my family,including my son who loves Jewel,and has been a fan for years,are watching next week will hear the apology hundreds are deserved to hear.

Gabe Garcia will be named the Champ next week because all of us in San Antonio Area have been voting for him. Ive heard all of his song's on his past two album's and they will get exposure once he wins. Melissa Lawson is great but she is too fat and old to be a country star besides we already have Wynona. She needs to go on the Big Loser show next, maybe she will win on that one. I like Coffey and he will do just fine coming in third. Shawn Mayer is to fake and she looks like she is on Red Bull all the time when she is on the chopping block. Jeff Steele should stick to songwriting. John Rich needs to come up with something new besides the freak parade. And Jewel well she's not country at all and look at that grill. All the money she has and oh man that grill, but nice legs though. Its a free country and I can say or write whatever i feel like.

Ok, I noticed that a previous person wrote that they "loved" coffey's original song. They must have not been watching the same show that I saw. His song was annoying, poorly written, not very catchy. And like the judges said, it would not get radio airplay. It reminds me of Sugarland's new song "All I want to Do" REALLY DON'T SEE WHY PEOPLE LIKE IT, AND DONT SEE HOW PEOPLE DEFEND IT AS A GREAT TUNE.

I also do not see how someone can honestly say they like Coffey's song as a country song: 1. if you think it was country, you don't know what country is

and if you actually like coffey "as a country singer" and vote for him, I honestly believe you voters are voting based on other qualities. Let's be honest, he is not country and cannot write nor sing country music.

I thought Melissa Lawson was fantastic last night!! She reminds me alot of Gretchen Wilson. Her looks and her voice. I think she deserves to win this thing. If she doesn't I'll be disappointed. The other person(s) who is deserving of the title of Nashville Star is a toss-up between Gabe Garcia and Shawn Mayer. They are both very talented.

How can Jewel judge others when she sounded worse than anyone ever on that stage. I thought she was a professional singer until I heard her try to sing last night.

Jewel a grammy winning artist? I have really never listened to Jewel's music, and after last night, I see that I have not missed a thing, each one of the women and even the two teenagers out sang her!!!!!!!

In my opinion she should not be a judge, nor should John Rich. Jeff's comments are honest and not nasty, he is a song writer not a performer like the other two, so cut him some slack on his performance last night.

All of the contestants did an awesome job last night, they all appear to be very talented in writing songs that we would like to hear on the radio, despite what Rich said, there have been dumber songs on the radio that have been big hits, example "Achy Breaky Heart".

Melissa is still my favorite, I love to hear that women sing, and she is looking terrific! Her song last night gave me goose bumps and you could see by the light in her eyes how proud she was and that she was singing from the heart.

Gabe, I would not mind sliding closer to him on a moonlit night in the back of a car!

Even though the show has had its problems I am looking forward to the next two episodes and I hope that the winner really gets what is promised and has a hit on country radio very soon. I hope Melissa wins, but all are worthy of putting something on the radio for us all.

If the three judges were contestants they would all have been eliminated last night. Melissa is the best singer & Coffey is the worst.

Any of the female contestants tonight out sang and out performed Jewel. I cannot believe that she is a judge.

Okay, maybe you've all discussed this before. But has anyone seriously noticed the difference between this season and last season with Wyonna Judd? I mean the contestants are like night and day. Last season, they all could sing - they were outstanding. This year, there's only two that are half decent - Gabe and Melissa. What the heck happened? Who choose these people, where did they find them? Coffey is horrible and is NOT COUNTRY. It's an insult that he's even still on the show. America why are you voting for him? He can't sing, he can't perform and he's as country as Rich is Hiphop. Come on! This show should have stayed away from NBC. How very disappointing. I hope Melissa wins she's the most deserving. Don't know if I'll be watching next time.

Ok, I think it is very clear who "won" OS night tonight: Shawn Mayer. I do have to agree with John on what he said about her, she has been amazing the past two weeks.

Melissa did a good job, I just felt like parts of hers were a little too over done...too much belting, even though she belts well, she does not need to constantly do it.

Gabe G....honestly, don't really even remember his song. He's a great singer, but still think he's a reincarnation of George Strait.

Coffey....wow man, this week only confirms an earlier statement I made on here, he is mysteriously, VERY mysteriously like Cowboy Troy (remember how his career went?) Yea Coffey has his moments...but I think he needs to go home

Ashley, sorry to see her go, but I think she would have stayed around longer if she had just sang her notes out, and not tried all those falsetto's trying to be a country mariah carey. There is a reason mariah does not do country music. And I have always not liked how Ashley looked, sorry, just something about her.

Oh and please don't let me forget: THE JUDGES PERFORMANCE. Ok, didn't know jeffrey steele could sing, his part was actually tolerable. Now John rich, remember what I said about his antics with BIg and Rich? Well there he was again with some crazy phrase on the back of his guitar! And then I've saved the worst for last: Jewel. Sorry, her performance was bad. The way she delivered and the follow through of most of her notes was scratchy, raspy, and just really BAD. Maybe that's why she's NEVER been accepted in country music? just a thought.

In all fairness this night really allowed us to see just how well these people are as artist..how much their music really means to them and how well they really feel about what they are singing. I personally felt that everyone did a wonderful job but my top two places go to..Shawn and Gabe. their songs were real, and something that people can really relate to from any walk of life. I liked Coffey's as well, it was fun and showed him at home. Melissa was good but i think needed a little bit of work on the lyrics. I"m not a professional or anything but I am a musician myself. Anyway..Can't wait to see you shawn..i'm from spencer and I hope I get to see you perform this week!! Good luck to all and way to kick butt!
