We knew that Melissa was going to win ever since she sang "This One's For The Girls". We are so glad she won. We have been voting for her every week. Guess my 600 calls worked lol. Gabe is very good also and will have no problem finding a record deal. You go Melissa and we can't wait to see you in concert.

Well this is my first year watching this show. I knew from the begining that either Melissa or Gabe was gonna win this contest. But i personaly think that Peral Heart should've been in the final 3 and Shawn NEEDS TO GO!!! Her voice is squeeky and she is a pop singer, not a country singer. I mean, my ears ach when i hear her voice for God's sake! but yeah she should've gone home.

Melissa totally deserves to be the next Nashville Star because she obviously is the best singer on the show! Well i have to say that Gabe is also pretty good! But im gonna have to go for the lady with the 5 boys at home! u go girl!!! and i think that she could get the farthest with all the song writing and stuff like that. Melissa, Gabe and Shawn...BRAVO! Well done. I'm disappointed that Ashley went home and the network chose to keep Coffey on, but at least they had the sense to send him packing this week. If he stayed on, it would have been obvious who was actually controlling the votes. As for the remaining contestants, Melissa...you are awesome. Your singing truly touches me. Gabe...You are terrific on your own level also. Your influence by George Strait is quite noticable. Shawn...You are a unique performer. I look forward to hearing you each week. Melissa has a great voice, but can't carry off the country persona. Coffey seems to be a great guy, but sounds like he is singing under water and Cowboy Troy already has the Country Rap genre covered. Shawn is too hot & cold to win at this time - she needs to keep working at it. Gabe is the only true country singer on the show. He's country to his roots and has paid his dues in honky tonks, dancehalls & bars all over the south. His original song blew the others out of the water and his voice is pure gold. I do not understand at all how Ashley could have been voted off instead of Coffey! She is so talented. Her voice is so unique and her orginal song was so awesome. Pearl Heart was also much better than Coffey. Melissa is great too and probably will win now. She deserves too. Melissa Lawson reminds me of another Wynona Judd.
She can really belt out the songs. Even if she does not get Nashville Star, I feel John Rich will record her anyway. She has a future with country music.

Melissa is by far the best of the bunch and has been since day one. She works that stage and audience like's she been doin' it her whole life. And, that folks, is what it's all about when you pay to see them live. She puts her heart and soul into every note she sings. And it's PURE COUNTRY! Ain't no crap like whatever it is Coffey is trying to sing. She doesn't cop an attitude with the judges when she doesn't like what they say (Hear that Shawn?) She's just so natural. That's what country music has always been about. She's a true performer.

I think they all sound really good and just love the personalities. I really am proud to see that 3 of the contestants are from Texas. They all have worked really hard to get where they are at this point in the contest. But I have to say everyone is a winner here due to someone will take and put each and everyone under their wing and help them become stars. I wish they would have not have voted off Ashley I really liked her. I hope she gets what she wants out of life. I believe Shawn needs to grow up more before comming a star. Coffey and Gabe are great guys but I have to vote for Melissa. I wish you all good luck!

I know this is late but I have to say that John Rich telling Sophia or Lauren about rolling their eyes at Jewel really made me mad. Who does he think Jewel is? She puts her pants on one leg at a time just like anyone else. The judges are no better than anyone else so if a contestant wants to roll their eyes at something a judge says that's their business. Also, this past week when the judges performed I thought that Jewel and that other blonde judge were just awful. They picked on people for over singing and they did it themselves. They both went off key because they were trying too hard and Jewel's last note was just awful. I am not a fly-by-night person stating this either. I took music lessons from age 5 until age 21. I play several instruments, I sing, dance and have been on stage all over the states and Canada and I'm also a choreographer so I have the credentials to judge the judges.

Gabe has as much stage presents as some of the Opry regulars and reminds me of George Strait.

Melissa has a nice powerful voice and reminds me of

Shawn is, in my opinion, the most improved performer on the show. Changing mentors was a good move, too bad she waited so long.

I think alot of people think that country singers sing a certain way.It has nothing to do with color!IT HAS TO DO WITH SOUND ! Coffey sounds like shit.He sings like what a person drowning might sound like.He needs to clear his throat.He is a fine looking young man but that is not what this show is about.(looks).Its about country singers.I reread a few of my last remarks about Coffey...I think I could of and should of been a little bit nicer in the way I discribed his singing ability.(very limited).He has a unique voice,just not country.I was alittle upset when they got rid of PEARL HEART but thats life. There are many people who think he should be gone, i dont know, maybe all you guys are racist. But Coffey is no doubt the best out there. He adds flavor to every song he works with. Country's not just the Honky Tonk style, Country also has soul and some beat, and Coffey shows that. No one can match him in vocals, nor beat and individuality. He is the best and there is no doubt. Best three were Coffey, Gabe, and Shawn Mayer.
