Why did the voting proceedures change in the middle of the season?

How do we vote John Rich off the show? He needs to go!

He has been a negative influence on the show and does not belong. The egos of John Rich and Jewell are good examples of how not to handle stardom.

Shawn rocks that girl can really sing and also Gabe he is awsome not only good looking but also a great singer. I hope that Shawn or Gabe wins. The rest I think they still need to work on their singing mainly Coffey, he just doesn't sound good to me. He is way off with the music.

come on now people i think that if Laura and Sophie want to go out there and try to make something of them selfs and the one wants to roll there eyes becasue see dont like what a judge says she needs to be riped in front of the camara live on tv... thats the only way to make then know that it is a hard crule world out there...

Lauren and Sophie needed to leave, they were immature, but I think that John Rich showed a fair amount of immaturity by commenting on national t.v. about the girls rolling their eyes at Jewell. I think that should have been settled behind the scenes not in front of the camera. My question is Who are the adults here?? One more thing, Billy Ray's hair sure looked better tonight, leaving off the flatiron really helped the way it looked, but still could use a personality lesson.

What does the judges mean when they said she "overkilled" the song? She has a very beautiful voice and the most talented among them all. SHE deserves to win. Gabe is okay but MELISSA will always have my vote. As far as COFFEY, go home!!! He is a place that he never should of been. No talent and no voice. Thank goodness laura and sophie has gone bye-bye. Should of went looooong time ago. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MELISSA>

Excuse me.. and you call yourself a professional? Shame on you, John Rich! Even though I would not have the highest praise for Lauren & Sophia's performance tonight, I would not have carried an incident that happened a week ago over into the show tonight - a professional would have resolved the issue in private last week, after the show when the incident occured. Clobbering & humiliating those two girls, off-guard at that, in front of a live and national T.V. audience was quite possibly the lowest that I've seen a "star" stoop to. You too, Jewel.. you should have just remained quiet on the matter publicly. I am so incredibly disappointed and those two girls deserve an apology. Especially the one whose only crime is still being very young and not having yet mastered reacting unconscientiously to HARSH criticism.

I have to agree. He is a like able guy but his range of singing is very small. I voted for melissa because I think she is the best, but I really hope that Coffey doesn't take out Shawn. She put on a good show with that bitchy attitude. I liked it.

Caffey appears to be a very nice guy and shows a lot of emotion, but he is not a country singer. Just because you were brought up in the country, doesn't make you a country singer. He cannot carry a note!

has got to be one of the hottest guys i have ever seen... Right along with Billy Ray... On another note i am so glad to see that Laura and Sophie are finaly off the show... I wanted then to go the first time i heard them sing... I do think the judges need to stop lying to them by telling them they could make it out there cause i think they suck big time... I am having a really hard time this year i like Melissa, Gabe the babe, and Shawn.. Great job tonight guys.. Keep up the good work..

Melissa Lawson is the one true entertainer on the show this year. Gabe is great but Melissa is the one who remains consistant every week. Id like to see Sean Mayer voted off next. For someone just starting out in Country music she has way to high opinion of herself and needs knocked off her pedestal.
Melissa would be a great Nashville star and might finally be the one who makes something of the opportunity.

I definitely think Melissa should win, she steps it up every week! I think Jewel was very unprofessional regarding the rolling of the eyes, she basically just cut the girl off and said things that were very immature. The girls weren't good, but that was just unnecessary. This issue should never have been brought up on the air, it should have been addressed off camera.

Keep up the excellent work and allowing yourself to be true to who you are where you're from.

I think the gals time was up.... next I'm thinkin' Coffey. He has a great personality, but I don't think he sings country enough. I'm a Shawn Mayer fan, followed by Melissa and then Gabe. I love Shawn's youth and sassiness. She reminds me of Miranda Lambert, my favorite artist for the past few years.

Melissa, hands down. I've been in the business for 43 years, and only wish that a show like this had been around when I was younger, because I'd have taken a crack at it for sure.

I missed the episode where Laura & Sophie rolled their eyes at Jewel. Where do these two brats get off doing that? They never were that good to begin with! Each by themselves can't sing their way out of a paper bag.

Nope, my vote's for Melissa. It's high time audiences get over the size of a person's body and focus on the size of a person's heart and TALENT!! Oops! I just saw tonight's vote. Yep, they're gone. Smart move, America!

Gabe and Melissa are the only two contestants that are worthy of staying in this competition; they are the only artists that are COUNTRY artists. Laura & Sophie should have left last week, not Pearl Heart. Laura & Sophie need to grow up or split up. Pearl Heart was mature, focused, and talented. I am SO happy that John called out NBC tonight. They have truly taken this contest away from country, and it's really not right.
