I can't believe that Ashlee Hewitt was voted off. Coffey should have been voted off before her. Ashlee's voice is very unique and she is truly an artist. Her original song was great! She is very talented and I know that we will hear her on the radio soon!!

I met Gabriel 12 years ago as he sang infront of the National FFA Convention in Kansas City. I knew some-day he would make his mama and father very proud of him! He was amazing then and tonight when everyone watches (his father from the front in heaven) will be smiling for everyone while hearing Gabriel do what makes Gabe smile! I really don't care for Ashlee as a singer, and hope Melissa wins this year, but I must admit that her song was the best original. The others were all kind of dull and they all felt like songs already being played on country radio.

Monday was impressive with the finalists performing their own songs. You don't see that on Idol. Melissa, Gabe, Ashlee and Shawn all had tremendous songs that you can imagine hearing on radio. Sorry Coffey fans, he is not even close. He can't write and he can't sing and I have no idea how he has gotten this far. His nasally, warbly voice is not even bearable and who is going to pay $10 for his CD? This is a talent contest and he should not be in it. Remember that when you vote next week!

I think your stage presence was just as good as the rest...Sorry you don't squish your face up like melissa to connect with the audience but you are a calm cool cat and that connects with the audience better... man I hope you go all the way. I love how your really pursued your dream...unlike other persons on this show.

Last night Melissa rocked the house! Coffey should be the next one out (his song was more like something that Cowboy Troy would sing & that is not country) & Shawn has really surprised me (she could be Elvis's daughter). It will be Gabe & Melissa in the finals & I think Meliisa should win. It goes a lot to show for a Mom with 5 sons does have what it takes to win!!!!

I enjoyed most of the contestantants performances but Gabe consistantly impresses me week after week. He may not connect with the crowd in a way the judges like but I can feel his emotion through his eyes and smile and I am watching a TV.....

I think Shawn is the one to watch. She is stepping up her game each week, and I hope she continues. She has worked hard and deserves to win - not only for her talent, but taking all the negative comments with stride and grace! Keep up the good work Shawn, I'm pulling for you!!

I don't know about anyone else, but last night when I went to call in and vote it said I did something wrong. I tried at least 50 different times. When I got to work I told some of the people I work with and they had the same problem. WHAT"S UP with that.
